Pemphigus is an autoimmune disorder.
There are many types of pemphigus like pemphigus vulgaris, pemphigus foliaceus, pemphigus erythematosus, drug induced pemphigus, paraneoplastic pemphigus. Lesions of pemphigus can lead to severe fatal infections so treatment is very important.
Symptoms: painful blisters on skin &/or mouth, skin blisters near the surface of the skin that come and go, peeling, crusting, oozing at the blister site.
Treatment: symptomatic. The aim of treatment is to reduce pain and symptoms & to prevent complications like infection. Wound management is also to be done.
